Zachary

Well,
Zach has been at his Mom's since Father's Day and as much as I enjoy the break and having no kids, I MISS HIM sooooo much! He is my little buddy when he is here. Zach and I hang out together, run around shopping, play games, wash Daddy's bike together and he pretends he is a mechanic... Zachary totally made my day today. He called me this morning from his Grandma's house to make sure I was watching one of our shows we had seen together, "Zathura." It reminds me sort of like Jumanji. He said he called his Daddy first but he was working so then he called me. He said he was just laying around and he missed me and Daddy. He told me that he had caught a baby alligator on his fishing rod! I told him he is in gator country down in Florida were his grandma lives and not to go swimming! He said they don't swim in that water, they go to the pool at the clubhouse :-) I told him I was gonna come and swim with him and he said "Angie, you can't drive all the way down here to my grandma's house!" We both laughed a little and he wanted me to sit on the phone while the movie was on but I told him I was NOT going to sit on the phone that long. He said everything was okay. I sure miss the boy...
He is so silly!

All the young have left the Nest

I have taken all of these from my kitchen window, sorry they aren't better.
This morning I saw them out in the yard.
The parent was pushing baby towards the bench.
Trying to get baby to fly up...
The parent flew and got some food and would show baby the food and then jump on the bench with the food and show the baby...
After a few attemps, baby flew up on the bar.
The baby is resting on the bench bars.
Then brother or Sis came out from another bush...
They spoke for a while...
Then it started towards the other bushes in the yard. All the babies have left the nest. I have watched the parents all morning pushing them, feeding them and trying to protect them from other birds. Good luck little ones.

Weeyum's Father's Day

William said he wants breakfast, Chinese Food and to watch his race for Father's Day. So, today I made William over easy eggs, breakfast sausages and toast for breakfast. Zachary gave him a very nice card and he got to spend $100 at Best Buy! For lunch William wanted Chinese food so Zach and I went to pick it up. It was really good. Then he watched his race and Golf. He was sad because Zachary had to go back to his Mom's today at 6pm, but at least he got to spend the day and the last two weeks with him...

Nest Update

Well, there were 4 young birds in the nest this morning. One kept getting on the edge of the nest and was a little wobbly. I took the picture of the nest, but one of the parents was not happy with me. Later after we dropped off Zach tonight, I was watering the bushes and I almost sprayed the little fledgling! I hope he/she makes it... I don't think I can stand to see if something terrible happens to the birds. I have watched them since they were hatched. :-(

Day at the Beach

On Friday, William had to work and I did not want to sit in the house all day long so Zach and I packed up and went to Fernandina Beach. William works there so we stopped by and picked up some money from him so we could get a DQ cone on our way home :-)
We took Zach's beach toys, the red and orange Polk a dot beach umbrella and red beach mat from Grandma Ybarra :-). She would be happy to know that we had the cutest umbrella on the beach! We sun bathed, played in the ocean and ate our sandwiches and stuff under the umbrella. We were getting ready to get back in the ocean, when far off we heard someone screaming "Help, Help!" We decided to wait and find out what was going on before we plunged back into the shark infested waters! The lifeguards had to swim way out and get a couple that was swept too far out... We were both relieved that they were okay and that it was not a shark attack because earlier Zach and I saw a large creature further out that was jumping up out of the water and it was not a dolphin... :-)
Zach took the guy a bottle of water while the ambulance was on it's way and we packed up to leave. We both thought it was enough excitement for the day. We stopped at the DQ and went home and swam in the pool and spent time with Weeyum.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

I hope all of you father's out there have a great day!
