The Northern Mockingbird :-)

I know what type of family we have living in our yard now... It is a Northern Mockingbird! Everything Wikipedia describes fits this bird to the T. I am impressed because it says that the clutch can be from 2 to 6 eggs. This nest has 4. It said they are "habituated" to humans and this is true, they don't scare off easily. Also, it said they will perch on high places. They always watch us from the rooftops! Very neat.

Harley Davidson in Gainsville, FL Motorcycle Trip

We were invited by our friends to go to the Harley Davidson Annual BBQ they had. It was pretty fun and a lot of bikers showed up for it. They had BBQ sandwiches and baked beans. We also bought a small local grown watermelon, which was very good in 90 degree weather by the way. They had a live band and tigers and panthers in cages you could have your picture taken with. I was sad because I normally win something in the raffle, but no luck this time... William and I were too tired to drive back home so we got a room at the Best Western across the street. The hotel was really nice too.

Yellow Roses...Mmmm

I just had to share my beautiful yellow roses. The ones in this picture are all on one single stem! They smell so wonderful, my neighbor says she can smell them in her kitchen window :-) Something nice to enjoy.

My Dad is Crazy!

I have decided that my Dad has lost his mind. If I was Mom I would have had a heart attack just watching him. Mom told me that after he jumped over, he realized he had to jump UP to get back and he then fell when he landed, but made it!
